Introduction
Introduction Of MEPCO
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) is Pakistan’s largest power distribution company under PEPCO, serving 13 districts in South Punjab. Uniquely positioned, MEPCO is the only distribution company in Pakistan that borders three provinces and connects with five other power companies. Its service area reaches HESCO in Sindh at Sadiqabad, PESCO in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Wahwa, QESCO in Balochistan at Fort Munro, FESCO at Bhakkar, and LESCO at Sahiwal. MEPCO also shares an international border with India near Minchinabad in Bahawalnagar.
To manage this extensive area, MEPCO operates through nine administrative zones: Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Vehari. Its primary mission is to ensure the reliable and safe supply of electricity to all consumers within its jurisdiction.
MEPCO achieves this by continuously upgrading its network, investing in infrastructure expansion, and maintaining its distribution system. These efforts enable MEPCO to meet the increasing energy demands of its customers and deliver high-quality service across its service area.
